Kids Wallpaper Borders  

All the fun decorating elements available, especially for kids wallpaper borders, make designing a child’s room a creatively enjoyable experience.  The wall decor, rugs and accessories are all major factors in designing the room to be a personal expression of the child, or children, that occupy the room the most.  

The walls are the first to take into consideration for the basic look of the room.  The walls can be decorated with wallpaper, paint, or a combination of both.  Complete wallpapering isn’t as common now as it once was, probably due to the difficult application and the challenge in getting the wallpaper to look good in the long term.  Children can be hard on their walls and it’s much easier to touch up a banged up wall with paint then it is to fix a tear in the wallpaper.  There are various painting techniques that can be a nice addition to a child’s room, even to have one or two walls look different than the rest.  Wallpaper borders can be used in that way too; with it either being applied along all the walls or to just one or two walls.

Small rugs in a room are a good way to make a bit more of a decorating impact as well as to make an area of the room a bit cozier and more special.  Making a comfy little sitting area with a big pillow or bean bag chair, shelving with some books and a suitably designed rug creates a welcoming space in a bedroom for time to sit and read, color, draw or other activities.  Having just the two joining walls in this area with the border on is another way to make that space more special and inviting to visit.

Decorating accessories include wall hangings, lamps, shelving and any other elements in a room that tie into the overall décor of the room.  There are a good number of decorating designs that include Disney, Nickelodeon and other children’s characters from TV and movies that you could get the border, rugs and accessories that all tie together with the same characters or with the same show.  Generally, all the different designs, whether it’s on a border, part of a wall hanging or in a lamp style, will have the same colors so they will all easily coordinate together.  However, if you don’t want to have too much of one design, which tends to be a better look, you’ll want to be sure your colors, and even the styles in some instances, all go well together.  

If decorating the whole room at the same time it is easiest to choose the accessories and border that are most liked and then coordinate the other elements to match.  The color of the walls can be chosen in pretty much any color and intensity of the tone, so it’ll be easy to coordinate with other colors.  The same goes for rugs and wall hangings: the selection is vast enough to be able to find a design and coloring to go along well with anything.  Kids wallpaper borders will be a fun and decorative way to start off the decorating process to make a child’s room their special place in the home.
